Undergraduate Student TA and LA Orientation

This comprehensive program, comprising of asynchronous modules on Canvas, equips participants with essential knowledge, resources, and skills for success in their positions. Participants will engage in real-world scenarios, explore grading intricacies, and navigate potential teaching challenges. Active participation in all components is required for program fulfillment.

Registration for Fall 2025 TA and LA Orientation is now closed. Registration will reopen for Spring 2026 in January.

CETLI offers these orientations at the beginning of both the fall and spring semester. In the registration form, new TAs and LAs should select the appropriate section based on their department. After new TAs and LAs have completed their registration, CETLI staff will invite participants to a Canvas site with modules on policies, procedures, and pedagogy to complete.
