Undergraduate Student TA and LA Orientation

This comprehensive program, comprising asynchronous modules on Canvas and a mandatory synchronous training session, equips participants with essential knowledge, resources, and skills for success in their positions. Participants will engage in real-world scenarios, explore grading intricacies, and navigate potential teaching challenges. Active participation in all components is required for program fulfillment.

CETLI offers these orientations at the beginning of both the fall and spring semester. In the registration form, new TAs and LAs will be prompted to select one synchronous orientation session from a list of options. After new TAs and LAs have completed their registration, CETLI staff will invite participants to a Canvas site with modules to complete prior to their synchronous orientation session.
