These questions provide answers for learners enrolling in online offerings through Penn's Online Learning Platform (the Platform).

Frequently Asked Questions
To enroll in and pay for online offerings through the Platform, you will first need to create an account through the registration process.
Step 1
Click “Login/Register” at the top right-hand corner of the page.
Step 2
Select “Sign up”.
Step 3
Enter your information and click “Sign up” to create your PennPath account.
- 3.1 Username should be your email address. This field is case-sensitive.
- 3.2 Given name should be your first name.
- 3.3 Family name should be your last name.
Step 4
You will be redirected to a page that says, “Confirm your account” — please do not leave this page.
You will receive an email from ciam-admin@isc.upenn.edu containing the Verification code. Enter the code in the field next to “Verification code” and click “Confirm account.”
Please do not reply to the email that sent you the verification code.
There are three different types of offerings listed on the Platform: 1) offerings that can be directly added to a cart and purchased, 2) offerings that require an application, and 3) offerings that direct you to another webpage with further instructions. Below are instructions for enrolling in the first type.
Offerings you add to cart.
Step 1
Click “Login/Register” at the top right-hand corner of the page. If you have not created an account, please sign up first. If you have an account, please log in.
Step 2
Select “Add to Cart”. Once you have added to the cart, the shopping cart icon in the top right-hand corner will show a small number 1. Please click on the shopping cart.
Step 3
If this is a course that requires payment, enter in your cardholder and billing information and click “Place Order”.
If the offering is free click “Enroll for Free”.
To access your course, follow these steps:

Click “Login/Register” at the top right-hand corner of the page and log in. Once you are logged in, click the “My Courses” tab.
Step 2
Select “Go to course” of the course that you would like to access.
In “My Courses” you are also able to access your Application information and status (2) and review completed offerings (3).
If you continue to have issues, please contact the Platform support team at onlinelearning@upenn.edu and provide your full name, email address, and name of the offering.

If you believe you have been invoiced incorrectly, please email the Platform support team at onlinelearning@penn.edu. In the email include your full name, email address, name of the offering, and a copy of the invoice you received.
Additional taxes may apply to participants who make payments from certain jurisdictions outside the United States. Where applicable, such taxes will be billed separately via email after enrollment.
Refund policies vary by offering. Contact your program for details. If you’re unsure of who the program contact is, please email the Platform support team at onlinelearning@upenn.edu.
Certificates are produced by the program. Certificate format and timelines for disbursement vary by offering. Please contact your program for more information.
