Teaching with Digital Humanities

Facilitator: Cynthia Heider, Public Digital Scholarship Librarian
Convener: Mengliu Cheng, CETLI Graduate Fellow, History

Digital tools are changing humanities classrooms. In this workshop, we will look at how to integrate Digital Humanities (DH) meaningfully into your teaching—how to choose the right tools, design assignments (such as mapping projects) to enhance student engagement, and connect your teaching to a broader public audience. We will also touch on how to talk about DH on the humanities job market.

All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the History department, and so may be most useful to students in related fields.

Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
