As TAs, we are able to continue the learning process outside the classroom and one such way is through grading and feedback of students’ work. Both effective grading and effective feedback can benefit a student’s development in the classroom, course, and beyond. In this workshop we will discuss the best approaches for providing effective grading and feedback. We will address ways in which we as TAs can build trust between ourselves and our students, develop a dialogue, and create methods and materials we can implement in our courses.
