Teaching Students to Think Critically About Data

Convener: Alexis Crockett, CETLI Graduate Fellow, Neuroscience

Teaching students how to interpret and think critically about data not only engages them more deeply with course content, but also imparts an important skill that can be applied to other courses and disciplines. In this workshop, we will discuss the benefits of teaching students to think critically about data and strategies for incorporating this goal into your classroom. In doing so, students will leave your course equipped with the skills to think rigorously about data, understand flaws or biases in methodology, and actively and creatively interact with the field.

Please register in case circumstances necessitate moving the workshop to Zoom.

Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
