Helping Students Know When and How to Use AI for Problem Solving

Facilitator: Drs. Anthony Cirri, Chemistry; and Nat Trask, Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics

AI can be a powerful tool to support students in problem-solving, but in some cases, students who use AI to complete problem sets and homework may overestimate their understanding of the material. In this session, Professors Anthony Cirri and Nat Trask will initiate the conversation by describing how they talk with students about using AI and learning to become independent problem solvers and thinkers.
