Soliciting and Engaging with Student Feedback

Facilitator: Rhea Swain, CETLI Fellow, History of Art

Rather than solely relying on the end-of-semester evaluations that the university may administer, you can better gauge your teaching skills and students’ understanding of course content by creating opportunities for student feedback at earlier stages in the semester. This workshop addresses the different digital and analog tools as well as formal and informal methods you might use to solicit and engage student feedback. Participants will learn how to leverage class time for feedback and strategically ask students questions to receive quality feedback that enables you to better support students in the classroom.
