Navigating the Humanities Job Market

Facilitator: Dr. Amy C. Offner, History
Convener: Mengliu Cheng, CETLI Graduate Fellow, History

This workshop aims to help PhD students in History (and humanities in general) to understand and prepare for the current academic job market. We will discuss the application timeline, how to build a strong application package, and strategies for coping with challenges and burnout. This workshop is open to those who are already on the market as well as those preparing to enter it in the near future.

All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the History department, and so may be most useful to students in related fields. This workshop will be held both in-person and on Zoom. Links will be sent to all registrants closer to the workshop date.

Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
