Increasing Participation in Class

Facilitator: Addison Dale Buxton-Martin, CETLI Graduate Fellow, Biology & Cerulean S. Payne-Passmore, CETLI Graduate Fellow, Music

Why do students participate in some classrooms and not others? Student participation is key to successful learning, but can be challenging to manage in the classroom especially for first time teachers. In this workshop we will investigate why student participation varies and will introduce you to a variety of tools and strategies for increasing student participation for both new and experienced teachers.

Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
