Embedding Ethics within STEM Curriculum

Facilitator: Dr. Brittany Shields, Bioengineering
Convener: Aria Huang, CETLI Graduate Fellow, Bioengineering

This workshop will foster a discussion around pedagogical approaches to embed ethics content within STEM education, with a particular focus on engineering. The workshop will begin with an overview of Penn’s Engineering Ethics Initiative and then will consist of discussions and activities to inspire creative approaches for empowering STEM students to be leaders in responsible innovation and research.

All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the Bioengineering department, and so may be most useful to students in related fields.

Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
