What constitutes a “good problem” in a STEM class? In this workshop we will seek to answer this question through first reflecting on memorable problems that we have encountered as students. With newfound perspectives in hand, we will turn our attention to a selection of sample problems in dire need of makeovers. Participants will gain practical insights into constructing problem sets and exams that align with course goals, cater to diverse learning styles, and inspire a deeper passion for STEM subjects among students.
