The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning & Innovation provides opportunities for instructors to enhance their teaching and learn from one another, through discussions, workshops and individual consultations. All instructors— new or experienced; interested in an ambitious idea, seeking to improve, or simply curious—are welcome. To receive monthly updates on programming, contact CETLI and ask to be added to the CETLI listserv.

CETLI supports all instructors in developing inclusive and equitable teaching practices so that we can help all of our students thrive to their potential. This includes programs and workshops open to all instructors as well as offerings provided in partnership with departments or schools.

CETLI Teaching Seminars are faculty groups that meet monthly through the academic year to explore teaching approaches and questions related to particular themes. Seminar topics may vary by year and faculty sign up in the spring or summer for the following year.

Teaching Consultations & Classroom Observation

CETLI is available to consult with anyone teaching at Penn about any aspect of their teaching, including instructional technology. CETLI staff can also observe instructors teaching and provide feedback. The process is entirely confidential.
