Instructors in economics sometimes utilize games in the classroom to help teach certain concepts. In this workshop, professors Kevin He and David Dillenberger will share and reflect on some of their experiences using games as a teaching device in their graduate and undergraduate courses. Benefits, pitfalls, best practices and useful technology will all be covered. The workshop will also feature an open discussion on how games could be used as teaching tools more broadly, both within and outside of the economics field.
All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the Economics department, and so may be most useful to students in related fields.
Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
