We don’t know what the impact of this extraordinarily fraught election will be, but we do know that it has the potential to disrupt life in the United States, and experiences in our classes, in significant ways. This conversation will bring graduate students together to discuss what this election means for our teaching and our students, and how we are dealing with that. This could include discussion of: how we talk with upset students; how we engage students who may have concerns for their acceptance and safety; how we handle politics and divergent views in our classrooms; and how we address emotion in the classroom or in office hours.
