Teaching a Class that Gets Students to Engage with the Community

Facilitator: Drs. Doug Jerolmack, Earth and Environmental Science; and Dustyn Roberts, Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics

In the session, Doug Jerolmack and Dustyn Roberts will begin the conversation by discussing their experiences teaching classes that get students out of the classroom.  While discussion will start with the opportunities Penn faculty have to teach ABCS (Academically Based Community Service) courses and Penn Global seminars, participants will also consider other ways to get students to engage with the world around them.
