This workshop outlines essential strategies for PhD students aiming for a faculty position. It emphasizes the importance of balancing research and teaching skills, selecting research topics that align with academic job markets, building a publication record, and networking within academic circles. The guide also highlights the significance of mentorship and professional development opportunities that can enhance teaching skills.

Lunch will be provided to all attendees.

All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics department, and so may be most useful to students in related fields.
