In this workshop, participants will explore the current humanities job market and learn how to prepare for a humanities teaching-and-research position. To gain insight into the typical dossier requirements and hiring procedures, we will review various 2024-2025 humanities job advertisements for tenure-track faculty. Given the growing interests in positions at institutions in Asia, we will also review job ads posted by universities in Asia. Participants will leave with concrete ways to highlight their teaching experience and philosophy in the job-search dossier and prepare for various hiring routines.
