As TAs, research is a significant priority and yet teaching is also fundamental to the Ph.D. experience. Knowing our time constraints, how can we still leverage the kind of work that will drive student success to facilitate useful recitations? Gabriel V. Angrand, STEM Learning Specialist at the Weingarten Center, will lead an interactive session meant to provide practical options for simple learning activities (ex. using flashcards, tables, reference sheets, etc.) that can be used to foster collaborative learning and more meaningful engagement with course content.
All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering department and so may be most useful to students in related fields.
Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
