Whatever fields we teach in, we are engaged with racial structures in a variety of ways. In this conversation, Dani Bassett of Bioengineering, Jasmine Johnson of Africana Studies and Howard Stevenson of Education will consider approaches, strategies and language to discuss race and racism. We will consider practices relevant both for faculty who already talk about race in their classes and who want to do so more effectively, and for faculty who teach in fields where such discussions do not regularly happen and who want to think about how they might raise the topic with students.
