Are you searching for what’s beyond academia but are still required to teach during grad school? Are you wondering how teaching might impact your career even if you go outside of academia? Or just curious about how teaching impacts other areas of our research and science?
Please join our workshop with Dr. Reto Gieré as he discusses the ways in which teaching is important for us even if our career is not in a traditional classroom. From his years of teaching experience to his collaborations with the UN, Dr. Gieré has worked alongside many scientists and on many different boards. His work shows us that there is value in teaching no matter what your career may be. (Also, snacks and sodas (and lacroix)!)
All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the Earth & Environmental Sciences department, and so may be most useful to students in related fields.
Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
