This comprehensive program, comprising asynchronous modules on Canvas and a mandatory synchronous orientation session, equips participants with essential knowledge, resources, and skills for success in their positions. Participants will engage in real-world scenarios, explore grading intricacies, and navigate potential teaching challenges. Active participation in all components is required for program fulfillment.
This orientation is mandated for all first-time master’s student TAs for the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) and the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS). Additionally, PhD students TAing in Bioengineering and Materials Science Engineering should attend this orientation.

CETLI offers these orientations at the beginning of both the fall and spring semester. In the registration form, new TAs will be prompted to select one synchronous orientation session from a list of options. After new TAs have completed their registration, CETLI staff will invite participants to a Canvas site with modules to complete prior to their synchronous orientation session.
